Jason Andrew Wahl, 34, of Strasburg passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 lovingly surrounded by his family and friends at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with leukemia.

Born on October 15, 1979 in Dover, he was the son of Charles and Connie (Neiger) Wahl.
Jason was a 1998 graduate of Strasburg High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Kent State University. He later graduated from the University of Akron with his Master of Taxation degree and became an Ohio Certified Public Accountant in 2011.

He worked as a Tax Supervisor for Bruner-Cox LLP in Canton until he became ill in March.

On May 10, 2008 he married the love of his life, Stacy (Kalgren) Wahl. Together Stacy and Jason gave birth to their sons; Zane and Ian. Jason was a devoted husband, father, and son. His family was extremely important to him. In addition to his parents, wife and children, Jason is survived by a brother, Joshua (Yumiko) Wahl of Virginia Beach and a sister, Elizabeth Wahl (Mathias Labs) of Munich, Germany; his father in-law Mark (Judy) Kalgren of Falls Creek, Pennsylvania and mother in-law, Lana Siverling of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania; brothers in-law, Andrew Kalgren of New Hampshire; sisters-in-law, Renee and Amber Siverling of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania; brother in-law, Justin (Ashley) Crawford of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania; aunts and uncles, Sue (Jim) Parris of Wooster, Paul Neiger of New Philadelphia, Terry (Cindy) Wahl of North Canton, Kathy McCartney of Arizona; niece and nephew, Saya and Kai Wahl; nephew, Graham Labs; and nephew, Dikota Crawford.

Jason was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. He enjoyed gardening, riding his motorcycle, snow and water skiing and golfing. Above all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Alta Neiger and paternal grandparents, Joshua and Ruth Wahl.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov 23 at 11AM at St John United Church of Christ in Strasburg with Pastors Gary Friend and Brian Flood officiating. Interment will take place at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the St John UCC fellowship hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 5-8 pm.
