Jean M. Beller, age 87, of Dover, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, in Park Village Health Care Center.
Born July 13, 1926, at Massillon, she was a daughter of the late Spencer A. and Esta Moyer Stollar. Jean graduated from Massillon's Washington High School in 1944, and went on to attend Massillon City Hospital's School of Nursing becoming a registered nurse. She took college courses when time would allow, ultimately earning her master's degree in nursing. Jean was a nursing instructor at Massillon City Hospital, and was a practicing R.N. at Union Hospital at Dover retiring in 1985 following twenty-five years of service.
She was a faithful member of the First Moravian Church at Dover, where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the Moravian Women. Additionally, she was a member of the Union Hospital Retirees, and the Stark County Wilderness Center's Photography Club.
Survivors include her brother, William J. Stollar of Massillon; her two nieces, Julie (Bill) Higgins of Geneva, and Jenny Stollar of Durango, Colorado.
Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty-two years, William D. "Bill" Beller on August 27, 2011; her brother, Delbert Stollar; and her sister-in-law, Janice Stollar.
A funeral service will be held Monday, October 28, at 10 a.m. in the First Moravian Church, Dover, with Pastor John B. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dover. Following the committal, there will be refreshments served in the church hall.
