Jean Straub

Jean Straub, 80, of Dover died Sunday, July 10, 2016 in the Community Hospice House.

Born December 10, 1935 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Allen Baker and Vina Myers Baker Korns. Jean was also preceded in death by a son, Rick Straub; brother, Dick Baker and sister, Fern Aul.

Jean was a member of Strasburg United Methodist Church, attended New Pointe Community Church and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. She always put her family first and loved spending time with her grandchildren; they were the center of her world.

Jean is survived by her husband of 61 years, Delmar Straub, whom she married on October 10, 1954; children, Beth Cadle and Greg Straub both of Dover; grandchildren, John and Dan (Kara) Cadle, Justin, Kristin, Bryan and Melissa Straub; great grandchildren, Lilliana and Greyson Cadle; brother, Don (Donna) Baker of Columbus; daughter in law, Cathy Straub of Dover and brother in law, Fred (Mary Jane) Aul of Strasburg.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Joe Schulz officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
