Jeanette M. Wiegand Becker Hunter

Jeanette M. Wiegand Becker Hunter, age 77, of Coshocton, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, in her home.

Born August 30, 1941, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Earl Sr. and Jean Gornek Wiegand. Jeanette attended Dover High School and was a loving homemaker. She was employed for many years by Essex Wire of Zanesville and its successors, United Technologies Automotive and Lear Corporation.

Jeanette enjoyed cooking for her family, and was an excellent self-taught piano player. Some of her other favorite pastimes included sewing, crocheting and going bowling.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hunter, whom she married on September 4, 1982; her children, Daryl (Kathie) Becker of Zanesville, Cynthia (Michael) Myers of Coshocton, Donna (Rocky) Norris of Zanesville, Brenda (Mike) Wegener of Coshocton, and Richard (Pam) Becker of Bunnell, Florida; her fifteen grandchildren; her many great-grandchildren; her sister, Diana Wiegand of New Philadelphia; her brothers Joseph (Patricia) and Tom (Lisa) Wiegand, both of Dover; her nieces and nephews; and her two canine companions, Luke and Dolly.

Besides her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her infant sister, Dorothy Ann Wiegand; and her brothers, Earl and Tony Wiegand.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 24, at 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover.
