Jeffrey D. Miller

Jeffrey D. Miller, 51, of Dundee, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, in his home, following a battle with cancer. He had been ill for a year-and-a-half.

Born Feb. 19, 1954, in Dover, he was the son of Paul S. and Ruth Beaber Miller of Dundee. Jeff graduated from Garaway High School in 1972, and worked for the Belden Brick Co. as a truck-driver for seventeen years. He was presently employed as a finisher for Walnut Creek Furniture.

Jeff was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church, and had served on the Dundee Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also a Dundee Minor League baseball coach. Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and friends. He loved spending weekends on his boat with his wife and boater buddies. His biggest joy was playing with his grandsons, Luke and Jake.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Guy Miller, whom he married May 8, 1976, in St. Paul�(TM)s United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor; a son, Trever (Karen) Miller of Dundee; grandsons Luke and Jake Jeffrey Miller; a sister, Judy (Ed) Dewitz of Oak Harbor; mother-in-law, Nancy Guy of Stillwater; brothers-in-law, Larry (JoAnn) Guy of Goshen, and Phil (Donna) Guy of Uhrichsville; nieces, Jessica (Dan) Brough of Oak Harbor, and Zara Guy of Akron; nephews, Gary Dewitz of Oak Harbor and Phillip “Zac” Guy of Uhrichsville.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elden and Alma Miller and Ervin and Oma Beaber; and by his father-in-law, John W. Guy, Sr.

Jeff�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Saturday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover, with Rev. Dan Legg officiating. Burial will be in Dundee Cemetery. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Dundee United Methodist Church.
