Jeffrey R. Sears

Jeffrey R. Sears, 51, of Strasburg died Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Community Hospice Truman House following a battle with heart disease.

Born January 13, 1966 in Duck, West Virginia he was a son of the late Roland and Olive Ferrebee Sears. Jeff was also preceded in death by his brothers, Damon and Randal Sears; sister in law, Patty Coss and son in law, Alex Hubbard.

Jeff had been employed by Holtech in Orrville for 20 years until his illness forced his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, taking drives through the countryside looking for deer and spending time with his family and friends.

Jeff will be sadly missed by his wife of 13 years, Christine Lee Sears whom he married on October 16, 2004; step daughter, Mandy Hubbard of Georgia; brothers, Bennie Sears of Orrville, Ronzal Sears of West Virginia, Dave Sears and companion, Mitzi, of Fredricksburg, Rick and Rodney Crites; sister, Trish Ferrebee of Millersburg, Paula Dean, Georgette Greggor, Christina Butler, Kim Logan; step grandchild, Colton Hubbard; mother in law, Marjorie Lee; sisters in law, Barbara (Jeff) Everhart, Erika (Josh) Liggett; numerous nieces and nephews; and the two people that were instrumental in raising him since the age of 10, Dorma and Charles Crites.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20 at 6:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
