Jeffrey S. Teter

Jeffrey S. “Jeff” Teter, age 54, of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Born March 5, 1964, in Dover, he was a son of the late Charles and Edna Doney Teter. Jeff attended school in Strasburg, and was employed by his family’s Business, Teter’s I.G.A., Strasburg, as well as Kroger, Washington Court House, and Goodwill, New Philadelphia.

Jeff grew up attending Strasburg United Methodist Church, and was later affiliated with the Living Water Church. He was a fan of all of the Cleveland ball teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and enjoyed playing video games and collecting first responder memorabilia. Jeff never met a stranger, he enjoyed visiting and made many friends throughout his life.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Brenda Teter of Akron; his sister-in-law, Leslie Teter of Washington Court House; his niece and three nephews; and his nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Teter.

In keeping with his wishes, Jeff will be cremated and his cremated remains buried privately with his parents in Strasburg’s Grandview Union Cemetery. A memorial visitation, a time to visit with Jeff’s family and share memories, will be held Saturday, September 1, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover.
