Jennifer L. George

Jennifer L. George, 77, of New Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Horizon’s, Inc. at Bolivar following a long illness.  

Born May 30, 1947, in Barberton, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Helen (White) George.  Jennifer was a graduate of Starlight Workshop in New Philadelphia.  She loved art and crafting.  Jennifer leaves a precious legacy of family, love, and devotion as well.  Jennifer was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia.  

She leaves two brothers, Donald (Janet) George of Akron and Thomas George of Shelby; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

We would like to thank the staff of Horizons, Inc. both Dover and Bolivar for the dedication of Jennifer’s care.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Angelika George.  

A service celebrating Jennifer’s life will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, in the Ivy Chapel, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harley Wheeler officiating.  Friends can gather at the chapel from 10:30-11:00 a.m. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover is handling the arrangements.  To sign an online guestbook for Jennifer, visit the obituary link on the funeral home’s website.
