Jennifer Sloan Hennon, 38, of Pataskala and formerly of Dover died on Sunday, October 9, 2016 following a very sudden illness.
Jennifer was born on July 9, 1978 in Dover. She was the daughter of Larry J. and Jane E. (Fondriest) Sloan. She graduated with the Class of 1996 from Dover High School and continued her education at Ohio State University for a year and later attended Columbus State College. Jennifer was a respiratory therapist in the NICU at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus for over 17 years.
On May 8, 2004 she married the love of her life, Dave Hennon, who survives. On June 3, 2006 Jennifer and Dave gave birth to their first daughter, Jaelyn Hennon. On February 19, 2008, they welcomed their second daughter, Kenlie, into the world.
Jennifer was devoted to her husband, daughters, friends and family. She loved traveling; especially to Surf Side Beach and Disney.
In addition to her husband, parents, and daughters, she will be sadly missed by her sister; Jill (Steve) Lipscomb of Vincent, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Mary Fondriest of Dover; mother and father in law, Tom and Cathleen Hennon of Lima; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends whom she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Earl Fondriest; and paternal grandparents, John and Grace Sloan.
Jennifer's family finds peace in knowing that she was an organ donor. "In this terrible sorrow and loss, strangers were feeling joy and elation as they received news that they were a match with an organ donor and receiving an incredible gift; a gift of a new life through the loss of a life."
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5-7pm and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. A celebration of Jennifer's life will take place at the Dover funeral home on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2:00pm with Deacon Ron Fondriest officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Calvary Cemetery in Dover. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at St. Joseph Catholic Church's Family Life Center. Those unable to attend, or who would like to share a fond memory of Jennifer may do so by visiting the "Obituaries & Flowers" link on the funeral home's website.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jennifer Hennon Memorial Fund at Huntington National Bank, 232 W 3rd St, Dover, OH 44622. The funds will be used to help support Jaelyn and Kenlie.
