Jerry D. "Bubba" Drescher

Jerry D. "Bubba" Drescher, 44, of New Philadelphia died suddenly at his home on Friday, October 25, 2013.

Born September 4, 1969 in Dover he was a son of Jerry D. Drescher Sr. of Canton and the late Carolyn Ladner Drescher. Jerry was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne Reidenbach and H.O. (Imogene) Ladner and his cousin, Lonnie Ladner.

Jerry loved sports, especially watching the Ohio State Buckeye's and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed being outdoors and hunting and fishing. Jerry was very close to his mother and was her main caregiver for many years.

In addition to his father, Jerry is also survived by his brother, Joey (Carla) Drescher and sister, Cristy Drescher both of Dover; grandmother, Auldean Reidenbach of Roswell; nephews, Jarrod, Jordan and Jayden; niece, Chaleighann; aunts and uncles, R.L. (June) Ladner of Texas, Sherri (Glen) Jewell of Dover, Ron Drescher of Roswell, Helen (Rich) Ault of Gnadenhutten, Randy Reidenbach of New Philadelphia and Bobby (Fran) Reidenbach of Atwood and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastors Andy McClung and Ernie Perkins officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.
