Jerry D. Penick, 75, of New Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 following an extended illness.
Born on August 2, 1936 in Dover, he was the son of the late Edward Penick and Violet Smitley Penick Keiser . He honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He attended New Pointe Community Church and enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, and bowling.
He will be sadly missed by his four daughters; Shelly Strauss (friend, Chuck Meese) of Dennison, Pamela Bair of New Philadelphia, Lisa Mathias of New Philadelphia and Cindy (Doran) Mizer of Mineral City; sister, Carroll Meese of New Philadelphia; along with 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and was expecting another great grandchild soon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, an infant brother and his brother, Ed Penick, precede him in death.
In honoring Jerry's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. There will be no services or calling hours.
