Jerry Lee Lang

Jerry Lee Lang, age 74, of Beach City, died Sunday, September 20, 2015, in Select Specialty Hospital, Canton, following a brief illness.

Born August 13, 1941, at Dover, Jerry graduated from Strasburg-Franklin High School, and went on to serve honorably with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, he was employed by the Norfolk & Southern Railroad, and then T.H. Manufacturing at Millersburg from which he retired. He was a member of Weimer Widder Post 549 of the American Legion at Beach City.

Survivors include his nephew and his wife, Steve and Kristy Gilmore of Strasburg; his sister-in-law, May Belle Smith of Beach City; and his many friends.

Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Lang; and his niece, Jennifer Gilmore.

Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Thursday, September 24, 3 6 p.m. Military rites will follow shortly after 6 at the funeral home.
