Jessie A. Schriever

Jessie Ann Schriever, age 38, of Dover, daughter of Kim and Jane Schriever, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in her home with her parents by her side. Jessie fought a 30-year battle with a seizure disorder – the last two years with severe complications.

She was a graduate of Starlight School in New Philadelphia, and attended the Workshop. Jessie later stayed at home with Kim and Jane, or “Mom and Dad,” who are very grateful to everyone at Starlight for all of their hard work and wonderful care over the years.

Two of Jessie’s favorite pastimes were playing Lite-Brite and listening to music from the 80’s – especially Guns N’ Roses and Cinderella. She also liked watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, cartoons and soap operas on TV, and loved fast food and Dad’s cooking on the grill – everything he cooked was “good chicken.”

Jessie was truly one of God’s “special children.” She was very fond of the cows, cats and dogs on the family farm, and enjoyed her collection of stuffed panda bears and figurines.

In addition to her parents, Jessie is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pat and Snits Fazenbaker and Irma and Carl Schriever Sr.

Mom and Dad give heartfelt thanks to the Interim Staff and Palliative Care Team of Community Hospice, Jessie’s many physicians and Dusini Drug for all of their wonderful care.

A private service will be held. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park.
