Jill A. Heimbigner

Jill A. (Render) Heimbigner, 69, of Dover died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at the Community Hospice (Truman) House in New Philadelphia following an extended illness.

Jill retired in 1998 as a LPN at the Morning View Care Center (now Schoenbrun Health Care) in New Philadelphia.

Born April 3, 1948 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Bud” and Mary Kathryn (Wise) Render. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father in law, Hersh and Lorene Heimbigner and sister in law, Catherine.

She was a member of the First Christian Church at Dover and it’s Womens Outreach. She was also involved in the Brain Injury Association of Ohio Support Group. She was a 1967 graduate of Dover High School and graduate of the Tri County School of Practical Nursing in Coshocton. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two children including her daughter Kathy (husband, Michael) Metzker of New Philadelphia and a son and his family; two grandchildren, Evan Michael and Quinn Edward; several cousins including Gloria Warner, Marge Burkhart, and Jim Render along with several family members from the state of Washington.

Chris Maulpas will officiate a celebration of Jill’s life on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 beginning at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7pm.
