Jo M. Jensen

Jo M. Jensen, age 73, of Mineral City (Atwood Lake), passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, in Community Hospice Truman House, New Philadelphia, after battling cancer.

Born June 2, 1948, Jo was the daughter of the late Orie and Metha Dury Sherer. She graduated from Dover High School, and was a long-time sales associate for the Canton office of the New York Life Insurance Co. Jo married John C. Jensen in 1995, and the couple shared 12 years of marriage prior to John’s passing in 2007. She enjoyed life at Atwood Lake, her cat J.J., and will be remembered as a wonderful friend and neighbor.

Jo is survived by three nephews. Besides her parents, and her husband John, she was preceded in death by her brother Harrison Miller.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 7, at 10 a.m. in Dover Burial Park..

The family suggests that contributions in Jo’s memory be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., or the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., both addresses at New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
