Joan A. Minor

Joan A. Minor, 86, of New Philadelphia passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.

Joan was born in Three Rivers, Michigan on January 9, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Miller) Richey. She was also preceded in death by her son; Jerry Lynn Dickens; three sisters, Betty Jean Stewart, Marjorie Cutler, and Marian Hoch.

She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. Following graduation, she attended Augerbright Beauty College in Battle Creek, Michigan. She worked at various retail stores throughout Tuscarawas County including Marlow’s, and CVS, where she retired.

Joan leaves behind her three children; Cynthia Marie Bair of Massillon, Michael Lee (Lisa) Dickens of Columbus, Melinda Marie (Kevin) Wagner of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Stefanie Thiessen, Nathan Bair, Taylor Dickens, Ian Dickens, Lynsey Dickens; two great-grandchildren; Erin and Andrew Thiessen; along with her brother, Bill Richey of Atlanta, GA.
