Joan E. Vlad

Joan E. Vlad, 86, of Dover died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Union Hospital.

She retired from Dover Molded Products after 14 years of service.

Born October 1, 1924 in Uhrichsville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Delmar and Merle Johnson Cree. Joan was also preceded in death by her husband John Vlad on August 16, 2006; sister, Eloise Morris and two brothes, Edwin and Stanley Cree.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dover and the Dover Women of the Moose.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Joan will be sadly missed by her children; Laurinda Gribble, Melanie Vlad and Valerie (Jeff) Mullen all of Dover and John (Sheryl) Vlad of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Shawn (Becky) Gribble, Heather Gribble, Brandon (Nicole) Vlad and Valine Mullen; three great grandchildren, Justus, Jaylyn and Timberly Gribble.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011at 7:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-7 pm.
