Joan K. Breniser

Joan K. Breniser, 64, of Strasburg passed away at Country Club Retirement Center on Monday, June 4, 2012 following an extended illness.



Born on November 5, 1947 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Dayton and Gladys Heid Dayton, who survives.



Joan graduated from Strasburg High School, and later became the part owner of Paris Beauty Salon in New Philadelphia.



She enjoyed painting, crafts, and gardening. She will be remembered for her passion for taking care of others.



In addition to her mother, Gladys, will be sadly missed by her two brothers; Dave (wife, Roberta) Dayton, and Ted (wife, Shari) Dayton, both of Strasburg; very special friends, Anne Hendricks of Strasburg, and Delores Feik of New Philadelphia; many nieces and nephews; and her loving canine companion, "Maggie the Moose."



In honoring Joan's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. There will be no services or calling hours. Those wishing to share a fond memory of Joan, may do so by visiting the "Obituaries & Flowers" link on the funeral home's website.
