Joan Lenore Rennicker

Joan Lenore Rennicker, 69, of Mineral City passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Aultman Hospital.

Born on September 17, 1942 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Virginia Lawver Kaiser. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter.

She attended New Philadelphia High School.
On October 13, 2011 she celebrated 39 years of marriage with the love of her life, David Rennicker, who survives.

Joan's family will miss her sense of humor. She was an amazing mother and grandmother and looked forward to cooking for her entire family during the holidays. She had a very creative mind and enjoyed painting crafts and singing. She also enjoyed playing bingo and fishing. She loved the ocean and had a life-long dream of going on a cruise. Her dream was fulfilled in 2009 when she got to cruise the Caribbean.

Joan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dover, where she recently joined the choir and enjoyed helping with church meals.

In addition to her husband, David, she will be sadly missed by her five daughters; Shelly Strauss (friend, Chuck Meese Jr.) of Dennison, Pamela Bair of New Philadelphia, Lisa Mathias of New Philadelphia, Cindy (husband, Doran) Mizer of Mineral City, Tammy (husband, Dusty) Louwerens of Mineral City; step-son, David (wife, Tammi) Rennicker of Uhrichsville; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; special friend, Katie Zuchegno of New Philadelphia; along with many other close family members and special friends.

A celebration of Joan's Life will take place at the First Baptist Church in Dover on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Christopher Lowery officiating. Immediately following the service, a meal will be served in the church fellowship hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia on Monday, November 7, 2011 from 6-8 pm and also at the church one hour prior to the service.
