Joanne M. Kaser

Joanne M. Kaser, 64, of Dover passed away at Union Hospital on Saturday, January 11, 2014 following an extended illness.

Born on December 14, 1949 in Twin City, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Armstrong) Foutz.

Joanne graduated from Indian Valley North with the class of 1968. She married the love of her life, Ronald Kaser on June 6, 1970. Joanne worked as a nursing assistant at Union Hospital until 1971. After leaving the hospital, she became a stay at home mom for the next 23 years to take care of her two daughters. She then became a home health care aid. In 2002, she returned to the hospital, where she was currently working.

Joanne was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed dining out with her family, reading, and playing solitaire.

In addition to her husband, Ronald, she will be missed by her daughters; Deborah Kaser Watkins and Christine Kaser both of Dover; her grandsons, Logan and Corey Watkins; two sisters, Sandra (Kenny) Balder of New Philadelphia, Dianne (Joe) Yoakam of Ragersville; brothers in-law, Jack Paisley of Dover; Dennis (Connie) Kaser of Sugarcreek, Leslie (Pat) Kaser of Sugarcreek; sisters in-law, Stephanie Wills of New Philadelphia, and Zera Wills of Mississippi. She was also expecting her third grandson, Harrison Rossiter in April.

She was preceded in death by five brothers; Rev. Roy Wills, Kenny Wills, Herbert "Shorty" Wills, Larry Wills, John Wills; along with two sisters, June Paisley, and Shirley Haugh.

A celebration of Joanne's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10:30 am with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
