John E. Deromedi

John E. Deromedi, 84, formerly of North Star Drive, Dover, Ohio died Thursday, November 18, 2004 in the Country Club Center following an extended illness.

John retired in 1985, as an employee of the Ohio Dept. of Transportation (ODOT) where he worked for over 36 years. He was also a bartender at the former Espenschied�(TM)s Restaurant in Dover.

Born April 9, 1920 in Uhrichsville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph and Minnie Leonardi Deromedi.

John was a member of the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church in Dover. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Magnolia Deromedi who died September 22, 2002.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law Patrick and Teresa Deromedi of Evergreen, Colorado; two granddaughters Joann and Michelle Deromedi both of San Diego, California; one sister, Henrietta Grassie of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and two great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Joe, and Victor Deromedi and two sisters, Della Deromedi and Irene Paternoster.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, November 22, 2004 at 11am in the St. Joseph�(TM)s Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday from 9:30am to 10:30 am.
