John E. Paulus, 88, of Dover passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Park Village Health Care Centre following a sudden illness.
John was born in Dover on March 14, 1922. He was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Bush Paulus. John honorably served our country in the United States Army during World War II.
For many years, John worked as a mechanist for Joy Manufacturing and retired from American Home Products.
He was affiliated with the First Moravian Church in Dover and was a member of the Zoar Road Gun Club and the Dundee Sportsman Club. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors fishing, hunting and trap shooting.
On November 29, 2010, he and his wife, Edith, would have celebrated 67 years of marriage. Edith, along with their two daughters; Kay (Tom) Carter of Tennessee, Phyllis (Larry) Kivett of California; and his granddaughter, Lindsey Kivett of California will sadly miss him.
A celebration of John�s life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 12:00 pm with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the fellowship hall at the First Moravian Church in Dover. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 �12:00 pm.
