John Evan Corns

A private service was held Monday, November 1, 2010 for John Evan Corns, 54, of Strasburg who died Thursday, October 28, 2010 in his home following a sudden illness. Rev. Gary Friend officiated services in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg.

John was born June 13, 1956 in Massillon, Ohio, the son of Jack and Marilyn (Waltz) Corns of Strasburg.

He was a self employed Massage Therapist (LMT). He had previously worked as a Field Engineer for Seneca Energy Corporation.

John was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. He was a 1974 graduate of Strasburg Franklin High School. He received his Associate degree from the University of Akron. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and hiking with his dog, Daisy.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by two sisters, Jo Ellen McMahan of Strasburg and Becky Glatt of Toledo and his companion, Merri Gensley. He is also survived by three nieces.
