John H. Mcdonald

John H. McDonald, 83, of Dover went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2008 at New Dawn Health Care Center.

He had retired from Bill Hawk Inc. in Dover and was a member of New Life Church of God.

Born October 24, 1925 in Robertsville, Ohio he was a son of the late Henry and Pearl Lanning McDonald. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Don and Weldon "Wedd" McDonald; sister, Verla Carter and a stepbrother, Paul Rust.

John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Theresa Aslinger McDonald, whom he married on July 5, 1988. He is also survived by two sons, Jon McDonald of New Philadelphia and Troy (Johnalee) Weller of Dover; two brothers, Leonard McDonald of Beach City and Robert (Carol) McDonald of New Philadelphia; three sisters, Auldean Reidenbauch of Roswell, Leora Barlock of New Philadelphia and Ruth (Walter) White of Dover; four grandchildren, Devon, Chase, Kaitlen and Kyle.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Dode Overton officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call in the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
