John (Jack) W. Daniels

John W. (Jack) Daniels, 60, of 127 Linden St., Gnadenhutten, Ohio died Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at Aultman Hospital in Canton following an extended illness.

Jack was a Data Processing Supervisor at the Marlite Corporation in Dover where he worked for 39 years until illness forced his retirement.

Born December 19, 1938 in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of the late John P. (Jack) and Delvine Grinder Daniels.

He was an active member of the Gnaden Moravian Church where he was a Sacristan, former Sunday Schoolteacher and Superintendent and former member of the board of Elders and Trustees.  He formerly served on the Gnadenhutten Village Council and was a volunteer fireman.  He was a member of the Port Washington Masonic Lodge #202, St. Bernard's Commandry at Dover and the Arbutus Order of Eastern Star.  Jack was a 1957 graduate of Dover High School and served in the US Army Reserves.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed music.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Kay Williams Daniels with whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage on April 30.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 at 11 AM in the Gnadenhutten Moravian Church with Rev. Lorenz Adam officiating.  Cremation will follow services.  Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and at the church Saturday from 10-11 AM.  Those unable to attend may sign the on-line register book for Jack by visiting the 'on-line obituaries' link on our website at www.tolandherzig.com
