John Lee Roy Stull

John Lee Roy Stull, 63, of Flushing (Piedmont), died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV, following a sudden illness.

Born Jul. 4, 1947, in Archer Twp., Harrison Co., he was a son of the late Samuel M. and Julia M. Everhart Stull. John attended school in Midvale and, on Dec. 24, 1967, married the former Carol Anslow. The couple shared forty-two years together and reared five children. John retired from Cloverleaf Security Services, Dover. Always a hardworker, he also farmed and provided transportation to the Amish - jobs he thoroughly enjoyed.

John attended The Flame of Pentecost Church, Dover. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and good friend. He was kind and considerate, and always willing to do whatever he could to help those in need. Additionally, John was an outdoorsman; he especially liked searching for ginseng and mushrooms as well as going hunting.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Theresa Regoli of Flushing, and Mary (companion, Jack Smith) Stull of Quaker City; three sons, James (wife, Cindy) Stull of Cambridge, Allen (wife, Kelly) Stull of Piedmont, and Phillip (companion, Juanita Toohey) Stull of Moorefield; ten grandchildren, John, Greg and Christopher Regoli of Flushing, Courtney and Kathryn Toohey and Harley Stull, all of Piedmont, Rebecca and Dylan Toohey of Moorefield, and Lou and King Coleman of Kent; two sisters, Winnona Smitley and Ethel (husband, Richard) Masters, both of New Philadelphia; three brothers, Tom, Larry and Samuel Stull, all of New Philadelphia; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two grandchildren, James and Samantha Stull; an infant sister and infant brother, Doris and David Stull; a brother, Billy Stull; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Smitley.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, on Thursday, Nov. 4, 5 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 5, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin R. Anslow officiating.
