John P. Pyle, 59, of 2269 Pyle Rd. N.W., Dover, Ohio died Saturday, May 7, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton following a courageous battle with cancer.
John was a surveyor having owned and operated Pyle Surveying in New Philadelphia. He was also a former surveyor for Tuscarawas County Road and Bridge.
Born August 16, 1945 in Dover, he was the son of John B. Pyle of Dover and the late Florence Guedel Pyle.
He was an avid horseman and was a former 4H advisor for many years. He was a US Air Force Veteran having served in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio (PLSO) and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping (ACSM).
In addition to his father, John is survived by his wife, JoAnne Smith Pyle with whom he would have celebrated 35 years of marriage on September 12; He is also survived by two daughters, Linda (Michael) Mizwizki of Antioch, Illinois and Amy (Felsen) Diemling of Dover.
A service celebrating John�(TM)s life will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 1pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Pastor James L. McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Brandywine Cemetery in Dover. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday (today) from 6-9 pm.
