John S. Burrier

John S. Burrier, 77, of Bolivar died Monday, March 17,
2008 in Union Hospital.

Born August 5, 1930 in Columbia, Ohio he was the son of the late Harold and Thelma (Wallick) Burrier. He married his wife, Grace Beaber Burrier, on January 17, 1957.

He served our country in the Army during the Korean War.

Due to an illness, he retired from Apple Creek State
Hospital, where he specialized in adult education. He
also later retired from Hennis Care Center in Dover.

John was a member of the First Church of God in New
Philadelphia. One of his favorite hobbies was gardening in the summertime.

In addition to his wife, Grace, other survivors include a son, Keith (wife, Deborah) of Dundee; a daughter, Jane Burrier of Bolivar; two grandchildren, Missy (husband, Josh) McKenzie of Brunswick, Ohio and Ryan Burrier of Strasburg; and a great grandson, Hunter McKenzie of Brunswick, Ohio.

He will also be sadly missed by Marsha (husband, Ken)
Braun, Bonnie (husband, Blaine) Devore, and Austin (wife, Melva) Beckley.

John is preceded in death by: his son, Dennis Keith
Burrier; his daughter, Linda Sue Burrier; his sister,
Doris Burrier.

A celebration of John's life will take place at the
Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Strasburg on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Matt Roe officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. A meal will be served at the First Church of God, 824 Tuscarawas Ave, New Philadelphia, following the funeral. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday, March 21, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
