John W. Goodman

John W. Goodman, 83, of Beach City passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born on May 6, 1939 in Wooster, Ohio he was a son of the late Gilbert and Lillian Gerberich Goodman. John was also preceded in death by his daughter, Betsy Goodman; granddaughter, Heather Goodman; brother, Warren Goodman and sister, Chris Boyd.

John served his country with the United States Army, and retired in 2001 from Fearon and Feller after many years of service. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalie Longfellow Goodman whom he married on March 24, 1962; son, Michael (Patty) Goodman of Florida; sister, Alverda Feeman of Orrville and nine grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. There are no services or calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice at 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
