John W. ''Jack'' Kollar, 85, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, September 6, 2000 in Union Hospital.
He was retired from the Ford Motor Company at Canton where he had worked for 29 years.
Born February 2, 1915 at Johnstown, Ohio, he was a son of the late Albert & Hanna Roberts Kollar.
Jack was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church at New Philadelphia and had formerly been a member of the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia for 40 years. Along with his wife and late son, he had been active in horse showing events in the area and in several states. Jack also loved hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hall Kollar whom he wed January 28, 1936.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Donald Eugene Kollar, and sisters Vera Barnett & Anna Mae Class.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9 at 2:00pm in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Donald M. Snow officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow the committal service in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8pm.
