Joseph E. Butler, 75, of Dover died Monday, August 20, 2007 at the home of his daughter.
Born August 18, 1932 in Belmont County, Ohio he was a son of the late John and Lela Bennett Butler. Joseph was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Butler who died on July 3, 2004; brother, Johnny Butler and a grandson, Clifton J. Blackwell
He retired from Costal Tank Lines in Akron and was also the owner and operator of JE Butler Heating and Cooling.
Joseph was a life member of the Uhrichsville Elks and he enjoyed being outdoors taking care of his fruit trees and rose bushes.
Joseph is survived by his two daughters, Vicki (William) Beans of Mineral City and Vonda Butler of Dover; four sisters, Virginia Harriman of Byesville, Betty Cunningham of Freeport, Catherine Martinelli of Mineral City and Shirley Tedrick of Dennison; five grandchildren, Marcille Karrenbauer, Lauralee Beans, James Henning, Kyle Blackwell and Kaylee Mays.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Brian Flood officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. Following the burial a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
