Joseph L. "Jack" Petrella

Joseph L. "Jack" Petrella, 90, of Dover passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at The Inn at Northwood in Dover.

Born on July 18, 1925 in Dover, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elvira (Zuchegno) Petrella. He honorably served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as an Engineer at Picker Corporation in Cleveland.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jack was very intelligent and spent many hours at the library doing research for various projects. He always loved to be active and was a member of the YMCA where he enjoyed swimming.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter; Julie Petrella of Canton; and his friend, Eva Linich of Painesville.

In honoring Jack's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A graveside service will take place at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery in Dover on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11:00am with Father Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Following the service, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center in Dover.
