Joseph “Lenny” Huth, 86, of Dover passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Union Hospital in Dover.
Joe was born at home on April 29, 1934 in Bolivar. He was the son of the late Irvin and Cornelia (Robbins) Huth. He married Janet Sellars on September 14, 1957. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Justin and Ted Huth and four sisters, Anna Catherine Davis, Mary Lynch, Irene Schrock, and Teresa Friend.
He was a graduate of Bolivar High School and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ohio State University. He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force.
Joe worked for Oxford Mining for many years and retired as a CPA at the age of 80 because he truly enjoyed working. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. He loved collecting coins and if the weather allowed, he would be found outdoors gardening or working around his yard.
He will be greatly missed by his children; Debbie (Brad Stilwell) Huth, Diana (Mike) Murray, Chris (Sally) Huth, Sandy (Mark) Hugh, and Andy (Christi) Huth; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; along with his sister in-law, Angie Huth.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Dover on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4:00 -6:00pm. A Christian Wake service will take place at 5:45 on Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery in Dover where the New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military honors. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and government mandates, masks will need to be worn and social distancing will take place.
