Josephine A. Hochstetler, 73, of Dover died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 22, 1933 in Canton she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Erma Didinger DiStefano. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ivan Hochstetler who died on June 1, 2003 and her son, Terry Hochstetler.
Josephine was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was known for having a great sense of humor. She loved nothing more than being with her family, and having great conversations while sitting around the kitchen table. Josephine also enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially while playing bingo.
Josephine will be sadly missed by her four sons, Joseph (Barbara) Hochstetler of Margate, Florida, Cassidy (Tracy) Hochstetler of Dover, Donald (Holly) Hochstetler of New Philadelphia and Ivan (Angela) Hochstetler II of Dover; two daughters, Faith Harper of Canton and Hope (Michael) Woelfel of Bainbridge Island, Washington; brother, Joseph (Carol) DiStefano of Louisville; 12 grandchildren, Perry, Seth, Ann, Sean, Sara, Sam, Carly, Amy, William, Ian, Lea and Stephen; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Cassie, Lucas, Garrett, Evie and Chole.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 7:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center at Dover. There are no calling hours.
