Joyce E. Correll, 72, of Dover died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Community (Truman) House following a period of declining health.
Joyce retired as Manager of Candlelight Villas at Dover having worked for the late Dale Waldenmyer for several years.
Born March 10, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Helen (Elliot) Goodall.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She and her husband John were active in the Italian American Association for many years where she served as secretary. They previously resided in California where she operated a successful floral business and was the florist for several celebrities. She loved dogs including her own pugs and yorkies.
Joyce will be sadly missed by her family including husband John with whom she celebrated nearly 53 years of marriage; a son Chris (Mary Ann) Correll of Oceanside, California; a sister in law, Karen (Max) Penrod of Stone Creek and a brother in law Terry (Linda) Correll of Dover.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter Shannon Lynn; a brother, Greg Goodall and sister, Sue Goodall.
Joyce will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 8, 2018 beginning at 10:30am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. A reception will follow at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover where Christian Wake services will be held at 7:45pm.
