Juanita J. Uebel, 60, a lifelong resident of Dover died Thursday, November 20, 2008 in the Cleveland Clinic following complications from heart surgery.
Juanita was a retired Banking Office Customer Service Advocate for the Huntington Bank at Dover where she worked for thirty four years. Following retirement, she worked for Black, McCuskey, Hanhart, Deeds, and Bauer Law Office in Dover.
Born January 11, 1948 in Dover, she is the daughter of Roy D. "Toady" Howell of Dover and the late Juanita Jean Huston Howell.
She was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover where she formerly played the piano for the Cherub Choir. She played an active role in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life and previously volunteered for the March of Dimes. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, eating out with her husband, family, and friends and writing poetry. She also enjoyed baking birthday cakes for her grandkids, shopping with her daughters, and getting together with her small group of classmates. She was a very caring person from sending cards to people for any occasion to helping anyone in need. She was also an animal lover.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Uebel with whom she celebrated 38 years of marriage on June 20;two daughters, Melissa (husband, John) Kyler of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina and Paula (husband, Chris) Hale of Dover and four grandchildren, Peyton Kyler, Ally, Kennedy, and Brody Hale. A sister, Linda (husband, Del) Ashkettle of Dover along with many in laws, nieces, and nephews.
A service celebrating Juanita's life will be held Monday, November 24, 2008 at 1pm in the First Moravian Church at Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow the committal service at the cemetery in the church fellowship hall. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-6pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover.
