Judith A. "Judy" Ruegsegger, 65, of Dover, died Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2011, in Hennis Care Centre, Dover.
Born Feb. 8, 1946, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Verna Abel Medley. Judy attended Dover schools, and, on Mar. 4, 1962, married Bill Ruegsegger in the former E.U.B. Church at Sugarcreek. Judy was employed by Hennis Care Centre at Dover for some twenty-seven years, working in the laundry, kitchen and as an aide. She was also a representative for Avon Products.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's school and sporting events. Judy and Bill also worked the Dover Band Boosters'concession stands for years, and she was a great fan of the Tornadoes. She liked to crochet, making pillows and blankets, and working with plastic canvas. Another of Judy's favorite pastimes was to go shopping, which she did regularly.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; a daughter, Robyn Renae (Kevin) Greenwood of Dover; three sons, Chris (Meg) Ruegsegger of Dover, Dale Ruegsegger of New Philadelphia, and Bill (Tammy) Ruegsegger II of Roswell; eight grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Greenwood, Christopher, Natasha, Brittany, Vincent, Bill III and Laura Ruegsegger; one great-granddaughter, Mylee Bolon; and a much-anticipated great-grandson expected in May. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and good friends.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Russell Medley.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Mar. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Trevor Littleton officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday, 5:30 7:30 p.m. Immediately following the service, a meal will be shared in the Dover Masonic Temple.
