Judith Barbara Geers

Judith Barbara Geers, 74, of Dover died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Aultman Hospital.

Born August 18, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Adolf and Anna Gestrich Schandel. Judy was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joan Marie Geers.

She graduated from Tusky Valley High School and the Timken Mercy School of Nursing. Following her education, she worked at Union Hospital as an LPN for over 35 years. In her spare time Judy enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with her friends, especially going on lunch dates.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother Judy will be sadly missed by her daughters, Kathleen (Daniel) Page of Navarre, Christine (Roland) Rodriguez of Texas and Jean (David) Schlabach of Florida; brother, William (Rosemary) Schandel of Canton; sister, Shirley Eagon of Canton; grandchildren, Cassandra (Jered) Long, Zachary (fianc Cassie) Page, Jesse and Shawn Schlabach and great grandchild, Cash Long.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13 at 11:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Fr. Joseph Zamary officiating. Interment with be in the St. Clements Cemetery at Navarre. Friends can call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
