Judy J. Foltz

Judy J. Foltz, 69, of Dover died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in her home following a one year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Judy was a visiting nurse for the Tuscarawas County Health Department and had previously been a nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Born March 12, 1942 in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Ira A. and Florence (Kropf) Cogan Jr.

Judy was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church at Dover where she was active in the Ruth Circle, United Methodist Women (UMW) and many committees over the years. She was a 1960 graduate of East Canton High School and a graduate of the Aultman School of Nursing in Canton in 1963. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed working with her daughter, Julie in growing and selling perennials to support the Relay For Life program every year.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Don Foltz with whom she celebrated 48 years of marriage this past June 9; her two sons, Eric (Tuanna) Foltz of Collins, Ohio and Dr. Jeff (Elise) Foltz of Dover and her daughter, Julie (Dan) Warther of Dover. She enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren Joshua and Hunter Foltz, Rachel and Megan Foltz and Cogan, Noelle, and Sydney Warther and attending their many school and sports activities and by her special canine companion, Peppy.

A service celebrating Judy's life will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 4pm in the First United Methodist Church in Dover with Pastor Shelly Nordine and Pastor Mike Spies officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 5:00pm-8:00pm and at the church Saturday from 3:00pm-4:00pm.
