Julia M. Hampton Gonter, 71, of Strasburg, died Monday, March 5, 2001 in Union Hospital.
She had worked in the experimental lab at the Timken Company at Canton, and she retired from the former LuMinko's Restaurant at Navarre, where she had worked since the restaurant opened.
Born August 31, 1929 at Steubenville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wallace & Olive Tucker Feckett.
Julia was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack R. Hampton, of Canton, who died in 1978. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Paul C. Gonter of Beach City, who passed away in 1998.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Julia was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Strasburg. Interment will be in the Sunset Hills Memorial Garden in Canton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9pm.
