June E. Bernhart, 81, of Dover, a loving mother and grandmother died Friday, July 15, 2005 at Union Hospital following an extended illness.

Born September 23, 1923 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late August and Helen Brown Ackerman.

When June was not taking care of her family, she enjoyed reading in her spare time.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bernhart, Sr. who died in 1983.

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Judy) Bernhart, Sr. of Kingsland, Georgia and Homer “Skip” (Linda) Bernhart, Jr. of New Philadelphia; daughter, Marsha (Don) Bell of New Philadelphia; brother, Donald (Elsie) Ackerman of Dover; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Judy was also preceded in death by an infant son, John Bernhart; granddaughter, Tammy Bernhart and six brothers and sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Dover with Rev. Terry Kidd officiating. There are no calling hours.
