June I. Becker

June I. Becker, 85, of Dover, Ohio died Thursday, January 13, 2011 in her home following an extended illness. She and her late husband, Dennis also resided in Tucson, Arizona from 1980 until they returned to Dover in 1992.

Born June 17, 1925 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Stutz) Mason.

She was a homemaker and was also a former employee of Dynamic Drug in Dover for seven years.

She was a longtime member of the First Moravian Church in Dover and the Hope Star Circle. She was also a former member of the Dover Women of the Moose, Tuscarawas County Women's Democatic Club and was a 1943 graduate of Dover High School. Over the years, June loved cooking and baking. Her family especially enjoyed her apple dumplings. She also enjoyed her beloved shelties over the years including Buffy and Angel.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis who died January 26, 1997. She was also preceded by three brothers, Howard, Donald, and Tom Mason.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Becker of Rio Rico, Arizona and her son, Steven D. (wife, Carol) Becker of Bozeman, Montana and three step grandchildren, Allison, Kari, and Megan.

Funeral services celebrating June's life will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Pastor John Wallace officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Dennis at Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8pm.
