Junior L. Rufenacht, 84, of New Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Union Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born October 16, 1927 in Schoenbrunn he was the son of the late Lawrence and Bessie Rose Rufenacht. He was also preceded in death by his wife Anna Rufenacht a short time ago.
Junior was the owner and operator of Rufenacht Ideal Grinding in New Philadelphia for over 50 years.
In recent years, Junior was active in the Union Grange, YMCA, Moose Lodge, Toast Masters and served his country with the US Army during WW II. He loved traveling with his wife and camping with friends and family.
Junior will be sadly missed by his son, Daniel Rufenacht of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Chris (Nikki) Rufenacht, Danielle (Rob) Goedel and Sara (Zachary) Hudas; great grandchildren, Bryce and Brynn Goedel, Samuel and Cody Rufenacht and Riley Hudas.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Junior may do so by visiting the on line obituaries link on the funeral homes website.
