Karin C. Maldonado

Karin Maldonado, 54, of New Philadelphia, died suddenly at Union Hospital on Wednesday, November 29, 2006.

Born September 10, 1952, in Dover, she was the daughter the late Orest and Dolores “Dolly” Contini.

Karin graduated high school from St. Joseph School and continued her education at Kent State University where she majored in Business and Journalism. She was a former employee of the Times Reporter, where she worked for 18 years. She was currently employed at the Bargain Hunter where she was in charge of corporate sales and Advertising. Many may also know her as an employee of Puretone in New Philadelphia.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia. Karin had a strong family bond and cherished her son, Luke, who survives. She also enjoyed her free time. She was an avid reader and did needle point.

In addition to her Mother; Dolly, she is survived by her son; Luke of Kent, Ohio, Luke�(TM)s father; Moises Maldonado Jr. of Cleveland, her aunts and uncles; Fred and Dolores Bollon, who where also her godparents, of Uhrichsville, Jess and Marilyn Bilboa of Central Islip, Luke�(TM)s Godfather; Angelo Maldonado of Cleveland Heights, and very close friends; Valerie Leggett of New Philadelphia, and Jan Beitzel of Murrils Inlet.

Karin is preceded in death by her father; and grandparents; Michael and Helen Bollon.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia with Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dover. Following the committal service, a meal will be prepared at Sacred Heart Church. Friends are invited to call at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Christian Wake Service will take place at 8:45 pm.
