Karol L. Swegheimer Martin

Karol L. Swegheimer Martin, 77, of New Philadelphia died on Friday, October 15, 2021 in the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland.

She was born on August 23, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to the late Tom and Betty Pickens Becker. Karol was also preceded in death by her son, Tim Swegheimer.

She had been employed at Mercy Stat Care in Canton for many years. She was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary and the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

Karol is survived by her husband, Daniel Martin; children, Terry Swegheimer, Todd Swegheimer both of New Philadelphia, Holly (Don) Ryan of Gnadenhutten, Bill Swegheimer of Dover, Danielle Martin of Cleveland; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A celebration of Karol’s life will be held on Monday, October 25th starting at 11:00 am in the Dover funeral home with Rev. David Wing officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the start of services on Monday.
