Kathleen A. Bertle

Kathleen A. Bertle, 84, of Dover, Ohio died Monday, March 25, 2002 in the Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.

She was a former employee of Sparta Ceramics and the former Sadiron.

Born February 9, 1918 near New Philadelphia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Howell Mowrer.

Kathleen was formerly involved in the South School PTA and enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bertle who died August 9, 1976.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Johnson of Dover and her son, Ron (Bev) Bertle of Dover; Five grandchildren Shawn (DJ) Heaton, Heather (Von) Jones, Becky (Mike) Ondo, Jon (Coral) Johnson, and Kathy (Robert) Baker; six great grandchildren Anthony Barkett, Mark Barkett, Maria Barkett, Britnee Johnson, Katelyn Johnson, and Joshua Ondo; One Brother, Paul (Joyce) Mowrer; One sister, Delores (Joe) Pisony; a sister in law, Mary Stingel and her lifelong friend, Mary Goodwin.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her son in law, Ron Johnson; three brothers, Bill, Ralph, and James Mowrer; four sisters, Ruth Cutshall, Gladys (Peg) Cunningham, Harriet Flint, and Charlotte Sherer.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2002 at 2 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with her great nephew, Rev. Chris Cutshall officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from noon until 2 pm.
