Kathryn “Katie” A. Campbell, 83, of Dover, Ohio died Monday, August 3, 2009 in the New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover.
Katie retired in 1986, as an employee and Supervisor of the Stenographic Office of Marlite in Dover where she worked for over 41 years.
Born October 24, 1925 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Roy H. and Magdalene (Baab) McCluney. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Robert, and Gerald McCluney.
She was a member of St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was a member of the Tuscarawas County Business and Professional Women and enjoyed working in her garden. She was a 1943 graduate of Dover High School.
She is survived by her husband of forty nine years, Robert “Bob” Campbell with whom she married on May 22, 1960. She is also survived by a brother, Carl McCluney of Gainesville, Florida; two sisters in law, Tess McCluney and Sheila McCluney both of Dover along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service celebrating Katie�(TM)s life will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 at 2pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Pastor Michael Lowry officiating. Cremation will follow the services and interment will be held at a later date in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2pm.
