Kathryn Jane Lehman

Kathryn J. Lehman, 76, of Dover, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, in New Dawn Retirement Community, following a brief illness.

Born May 29, 1927, in Lakewood, she was the only child of Clifford and Bernice Moyer Renaud. Kathryn graduated from Hiram College in 1949, and, on Oct. 11, 1952, wed Leroy E. Lehman. The couple moved to Dover, where Leroy practiced dentistry for many years.

Kathryn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dover, and its Ruth Circle. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed traveling, vacationing in the Florida Keys, Mexico, Canada and Europe. She cared a great deal for animals, especially cats.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Richard “Tank”) Taylor and Susan (Clifford) Easlick, both of Dover; two grandchildren, Keith (Shannon) Taylor, also of Dover, and Steffanie Taylor, a student at Mount Union College.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, in 2001, just a month shy of their forty-ninth wedding anniversary; and by a son, David C. Lehman in 1981.

Kathryn�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a funeral service Monday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover. Rev. David M. Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Following the committal, there will be a reception in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
