Kathy Klapper

Ida “Kathy” Klapper, 65, of Strasburg died Saturday, September 22, 2007 at her home following a six-month battle with cancer.

She retired in 2001 from the Strasburg Provision having worked alongside her husband for 40 years.

Born November 5, 1941 in Dover she was a daughter of Stanley and Ida Weinman Kail of Dover.

She was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Strasburg. Kathy dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her cats. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and going with her husband to different hog roasting events.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Frank Klapper whom she married on February 18, 1962.

She is also survived by her daughter, Terri Hartman of Strasburg; son, Erik Klapper of Canton; sister, Marla (Marc) Cappell of Dover and six grandchildren, Kyle, Kristofer and Kaitlyn Klapper and Kelsey Minyo, Hayden and Matthew Hartman.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Evangelist Scott Hussing officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call in the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
