Kenneth Dale "Ken" Balder

Kenneth Dale “Ken” Balder, age 59, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

Born November 3, 1957, in Dover, he was a son of the late Earl and Jane Lorenz Balder.

Ken was employed by Belden Brick Company, Sugarcreek, for thirty-one years, and had more recently enjoyed working at Your Pizza Shop, New Philadelphia.

He is survived by his wife of more than thirty years, Sandra Fouts Balder; his two brothers, Rick Balder of New Philadelphia, and Donald (Penny) Balder of Dover; his two step-children, Kenneth (Kristina) Moreland of Japan, and Lori (Bryan) Walton of New Philadelphia; his three grandchildren, Shannon Shonk, Marissa Moreland and Michael Moreland; his four great-grandchildren; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and Joe Yoakum.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother, James Balder.

In keeping with Ken’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m., in LifeWay Church, 742 Cookson Ave. S.E., New Philadelphia, with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating.
